Same Difference (Windsor/Detroit)
A series of black and white 35mm film photographs printed on adhesive Phototex fabric. The images were made during the summer of 2020 as the border remained closed due to Covid-19. While the closure of the border has divided the populations of each country, the political entity of the border has no effect on the movement of air and water. To the land, the closure makes no difference.
The images are presented out of perspective, on their sides and joined by the sky and water - an invisible bridging of the environment. Incomplete slices of buildings provide limited contextual clues about which side is where.
